Terms of Service

Hinted is a gift-idea tracker: you save ideas for the people you buy for, and Hinted compiles them into a ranked list ahead of each occasion. A hint list is a no-account web link you can share so someone else can see the hints and claim one without installing anything. Hinted is operated by Herman du Plessis.

A free account includes 5 people, 1 hint list and 10 automatic extractions a month. Hinted Pro removes all three limits and costs $39.99/year through Apple's in-app purchase.

Payment charges to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or when the trial ends if one applies. Renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Manage or cancel in Settings on your device.

Hinted sells no lifetime or one-time tier. Pro is a subscription, billed yearly or monthly, and staying on Pro means keeping the subscription active.

The people, occasions and ideas you add are your own content, and you are responsible for what you put into Hinted. The public hint-link mechanism exists so the person a list is for can share it with the people buying for them — using it to publish, scrape or spam anything unrelated to that purpose is not an acceptable use of the service.

Hinted is provided as is, without a warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Hinted and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from using or being unable to use the service, including a missed occasion, a lost idea or a hint list that does not reach the intended recipient in time.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
